Gernot Blümel is the new CEO of Superfund Group of companies since the 1st of March 2022.Previously he was a politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) from 2013 on, first holding the position of general secretary of the party and then chairman of ÖVP in the city of Vienna. He served as Austrian minister for Arts&Culture, European Affairs and Media from 2017 to 2019 and afterwards as Austria's finance minister from January 2020 to December 2021. Gernot Blümel studied economics (MBA) at the vienna university of economics (WU Wien) and Philosophy (MA) at the university of vienna (Universität Wien) and the university of Burgundy in Dijon, France (Université de Bourgogne).

In the following years, she cooperated with the Institute of Labor and Social Affairs and the European Commission as an expert in the labor market and insurance law. Since 2018, he held the position of Director of the Asset Management Department at DM TMS Brokers S.A. supervising the entire investment process, and since August 2019, the position of Portfolio Manager at Lartiq TFI S.A. He has been employed at IPOPEMA TFI since December 2019 in the position of Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for managing foreign equity funds, including the Global Medical FIZ Fund.
